For the first time some lighter winds prevailed in the Bay of Hyères after the very windy initial days. After some waiting time, all classes sailed the maximally planned races, because as from today, the breeze will be back again. An easterly wind with big waves will fill in until the coming weekend.
Piotr Myszka POL defended the first position in the RS:X-windsurfers with Shahar Zubari ISR now on rank 2. Toni Wilhelm GER and Przemyslav Miarczyinski POL share the 3rd place. Charline Picon FRA has taken the command in the RS:X-women with the day ranks 2/1/1. The big-breeze specialist Maja Dziarnowska POL is now on rank 2. Moana Delle GER moved up on rank 3 again with two 2nd-place finishes. The new leader in the Finns is Rafael Trujillo ESP, replacing Deniss Karpak EST on top by a small margin. Vasilij Zbogar SLO is now 3rd. The 49ers completed four races with the favorites moving up: Outteridge/Jensen AUS on the 2nd place are now only one point behind Dyen/Christidis FRA, Krüger/Thorsell DEN and Morrison/Rhodes GBR share the 3rd place. Belcher/Page AUS kept the top position in the first two Goldfleet heats of the 470 men followed by Coster/Coster NED and Mantis/Kagialis GRE. Lisa Westerhof/Lobke Berkhout NED increased the advantage in the 470 women and have now a 23 points lead over Pacheco/Betanzos ESP. Lecointre/Geron FRA follow on rank 3. The new leader in the Starboats are the Olympic Champions Percy/Simpson GBR with Clark/Björn CAN and Lööf/Salminen SWE now on the positions 2 and 3. The Round Robin of the Women-Match-Race will be terminated today with the best eight moving to the next Round. The favorites are all on track with a stellar Anna Tunnicliffe USA dominating the scene wit a 13-0 score. All results, the daily report and the videos.
