Olympic Worldcup - Olympic Classes Regatta - Miami FL, USA - Day 4

The MOCR comes in its final phase, as after yesterday's races 7 and 8, sailed in classic Miami conditions with a 10-12 kn breeze, the last heats of today will decide on the qualifications for the Medal Races of Saturday. Admittedly, the favorites are on the first places, but the gaps remain close in most of the classes, and racing will be exciting in the two days ahead. Belcher/Page AUS are still on top of the 470 men, but Coster/Coster NED are only 4 points behind. A mere point is the lead of Lisa Westerhof/Lobke Berkhout NED on Hannah Mills/Sakjia Clark GBR in the 470 women. The duel in the 49ers between Delle-Karth/Resch AUT and Storck/Moore USA 3 points back continues. Zach Railey USA in the Finns is the one with a solid advance (10 points) on the second-ranked Jonas Hoegh-Chrstensen DEN. The top group in the Starboats is closer together with Scheidt/Prada BRA and Lööf/Salminen SWE tied on top ahead of Melleby/Pedersen NOR 3 points behind. Sally Barkow USA, Lucy McGregor GBR, Silja Lehtinen FIN and Olivia Price AUS qualified for the semi-finals in the Women's Match Race. Nick Dempsey GBR in the RS:X-men and Demita Vega MEX in the RS:X-women continue to dominate the windsurfers. The daily report and all results. For the first time at this year's MOCR, videos on the activities on Biscayne Bay have been posted..
