Again perfect conditions yesterday with sun and a fresh breeze off Kiel, and only in the early evening, an upcoming thunderstorm induced the Race Committee to abandon racing prematurely. Most classes sailed again three races. Johannes Polgar/Markus Koy GER are the clear leaders in the Starboats with 6 wins in 6 races. The new leader in the large Europes’ fleet is John Diedrichs SWE, with Sylvain Notonier FRA 7 points behind on rank 2. In the 5o5s, Hunger/Kleinert GER are again dominating. To be noted, that the German 2012 49er Olympian Tobias Schadewaldt is on the excellent 3rd position. In the Contenders, the favorites have taken control with Sören Andreasen DEN leading ahead of Andrea Bonezzi ITA. Other dominating leaders are the ISAF-Youth World Champions Carlos Robles/Florian Trittel ESP – 6 wins in 6 races - ahead of Llena/Mahiques ESP and Carstensen/Frigge GER in the 29ers. Two Spanish boats are also on top of the 420s with Charles/Charles ESP – winners of all three races of their group – in front of Mas-Depares/Menecal ESP and Koeppel/Bocklet USA. The European Champions Szabolcs/Domokos HUN have taken the lead in the FDs. As every year, the number of participating one-design and Offshore classes is important, as can be seen on the complete results table, to handle with care, as the organisers seem unable to deliver correct information. The same is true for the official report, at variance to the reports of the participants.
