Light and shifty winds prevailed over the Bay of Toulon on day one of the 470 Spring-Cup, but nevertheless, two races could be completed. As on the first day of the Palma World Cup event (but that time in a 30 kn + breeze), the young Kiwis Paul Snow-Hansen/Jason Saunders NZL took the lead. Their preparation during the NZL summer must have been outstanding. Tied on rank 2 are Matsunaga/Imamura JPN and Harada/Yoshida JPN, followed on the 4th place by the World Champions Belcher/Page AUS.
The women in this open fleet performed very well with Ai Kondo/Wakako Tabata JPN on rank 7 (tied with the male team Fantela/Marencic CRO), Jo Aleh/Bianca Barbarich NZL, winners in Palma follow on the 9th position. Check the perfectly edited video-report to get some impressions. The results and the gallery.
