 Olympic Worldcup 2011  Delta Lloyd Regatta  Medemblik NED  Day 4  Another windy day
The Delta Lloyd Worldcup event continued yesterday on the Ijssel-Meer in rain and a breeze of up to 25 kn. With the discard result in effect after more than four races concluded, some changes in the overall rankings are visible, and mostly the big breeze specialist are on top. The World Champions Matthew Belcher/Malcom Page AUS took the lead in the 470 men, Lisa Westerhof/Lobke Berkhout NED in the 470 women. In the 49ers, the World Champions Nathan Outteridge/Iain Jensen AUS were the best of the day advancing on rank 2 overall, 8 points behind Stevie Morrison/Ben Rhodes GBR remaining on rank 1. In the Finns, Ivan Kljakovic-Gaspic CRO replaced the World Champion Ed Wright GBR on top, and in the Starboats, Robert Scheidt/Bruno Prada BRA keep control over the Olympic Champions Ian Percy/Andrew Simpson GBR. In the women matchrace, the Repechage is on the program today. Already qualified for the Gold group are Etchegoyen ESP, Tunnicliffe USA and Roca ESP from group A, Groenveld NED, Wang CHN and Lehtinen CHN from group B. In the windsurfers, Lee Taehoon KOR leads ahead of Zachary Plavsic CAN, while the cracks Van Rijsselberge NED and Tobin left Medemblik early. In the female windsurfers, Mayaan Davidovich ISR defended the top position, but Li Ling CHN came closer again. All results, the report of the day and the videos.
