 Laser  Radial Men + Standard Youth World Championship 2011  Day 5
A new scenario weatherwise: Sun, no swell, seabreeze freshening up to 20 kn in the afternoon. Two final races were sailed yesterday. In the Lasers Radial, Marcin Rudawski POL and James Burman AUS one point behind will fight for the title in the last heats today. Tristan Brown AUS follows on the 3rd place, chased by five athletes within 10 points all going after the Bronze medal. 130 participants.
In the Lasers Standard Youth, Sam Meech NZL, the ISAF-Youth World Champion 2009, will not miss out on the title today with 7 bullets and 3 second-ranks in the 10 races sailed so far. Alex Mills-Barton GBR and Martin Evans GBR will defend their Silver and Bronze positions.
The overall positions of the North Americans sailing in the Goldfleet are: Laser Standard Youth Alexander Heinzemann CAN 16th, Ricardo Montemayor MEX 21st, John Wallace USA 25th, Chris Barnard USA 29th and Gred Martinez USA 39th. In the Radial men are Juan Carlos Perdomo PUR 6th, Mitchell Kiss USA 13th, Ryan Schmitz USA 34th and Domenic Bove USA 36th.
