Women Match Race - Olympic Games 2012 - Final - Gold for Spain

Tamara Echegoyen/Sofia Toro/Angela Pumariego ESP finished as Olympic Champions winning the fifth race of a very close Olympic Women Match Race Final with a 3-2 score. The crucial moment was in flight 3 with AUS clearly leading, when the Kiwi helmswomen Olivia Price fell overboard during a gybing manoeuvre. Gold for Spain, Silver for AUS. 3-1 winner of the Petit Final was Silja Lehtinen FIN taking the Bronze Medal defeating Ekaterina Skudina RUS. All results.
