470 Women - Olympic Games 2012 - Weymouth GBR - Race 10

The light-wind race 10, concluding the 470 women qualification phase, brought an unexpected close-up on top. Hannah Mills/Saskia Clarke GBR, finishing 2nd behind the Olympic Champions Elise Rechichi (2008)/Belinda Stowell (2000) and protecting their theoretical chances for Bronze, closed the gap to Jo Aleh/Olivia Powrie NZL. These two teams will fight for Gold and Silver. A thrilling battle will take place for Bronze with Lisa Westerhof/Lobke Berkhout NED only 3 points ahead of Camille Lecointre/Mathilde Geron FRA, and 9 points behind the Dutch ladies follow the Olympic medalists 2008 Oliveira/Barbachan BRA, and even Rechichi/Stowell AUS 15 points behind, retain a small chance.
