The variable rainy weather made the wind situation very unconstant and the start of the first 470 European Championship races was delayed yesterday. Nevertheless, two races for the men's class and one race for the women were completed. First leaders in the 470 men is the GBR developement team Philipp Sparks/David Kohler GBR with the ranks 4 and 1, followed on rank 2 by the Turkish Olympians Deniz Cinar/Ates Cinar TUR and Ben Saxton/Richard Mason GBR at equal points. The favorites Sime Fantela/Igor Marencic CRO are 4th with a race win and an 8th place. Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI had a promising first race finishing 2nd, but they could not repeat this performance in the second race and are now on 7th overall. Olivier and Adrien Gremaud SUI follow on rank 20. The only race of the 470 women went to Annika Bochmann/Elisabeth Panuscka GER ahead of Sophie Weguelin/Sophie Ainsworth GBR and Tina Mrak/Teja Cerne SLO. Fiona Testuz/Anne-Sophie Thilo SUI finished on the 9th position. The daily report and the video of the day.
