Solo Around the World Record François Gabart FRA Day 42
480nm, roughly 20hrs, are left this morning UTC to terminate the round-the-world record attempt successfully. In the night on Sunday, François Gabart will realize the fabulous time of 42 days and some hours crossing the traditional Ouessant FRA - Lizzard GBR finish line off the Brittany Coast. With this solo-record-time, he is only about two days slower than the absolute record of Francis Joyon FRA and his team. Yesterday, Gabart lost some speed searching for the best way around the Acores High, and his 24-hours distance was down on 503nm.
