The Kona Windsurfing Worlds began in Clearwater FL yesterday in an initial 12-14kn breeze, increasing to 20-22kn during the afternoon, with 100 participants from 12 countries sailing with the Goldfleet racing in the open Gulf and silver fleet in the Bay.
After two races, Noah Lyons USA has taken the lead in the Goldfleet one point ahead of Alexander Temko USA and another 3 points on Luke Baldauf ISV. The Silverfleet completed 4 races on the flatter conditions inside. Jerry Caplan CAN is first, 2 points ahead of Michael Keltz CAN and 6 points ahead of Laszlo Csuka CAN.
