Day 3 of the Kona Windsurfing Worlds in Clearwater FL brought much milder conditions, an opportunity for the light wind specialists, after two days of full-on planing conditions. The Kona Class does not allow pumping, and as a result, in the light air, the fleet is always tightly bunched. The wind barely reached 10kn, just enough to complete two races in the Gold- and one race in the Silverfleet.
After 7 races completed, a trio with Alexander Temko USA, Noah Lyons USA and Björn Holm SWE is leading in the Goldfleet within 5 points.
In the Silverfleet, the three Canadians are still in front after 8 races with Denis Dagenais CAN on top, followed by Michael Keltz CAN and Alex Lee CAN. Steve Campbell USA 2 points back on 4th keeps a chance for the podium.
