Optimist - North American Championship 2016 - Antigua ANT - Day 2, the Swis

The Optimist North American Championship went underway last Tuesday on Antigua where also strong South-Americans and a New Zealand Team participate. The only Europeans are the Swiss delegation. After 5 races, sailed in a well-established seabreeze of up to 16 kn, Hernan Umpierre URU leads closely followed by the best girl Mia Nicolosi ISV. Stephen Baker USA is 3rd. Most Swiss occupy ranks in the first half of the fleet. Natascha Rast SUI as best is 35th and Philipp Roth SUI follows on rank 39 among the 144 participants from 19 nations.
