Only one race could be sailed yesterday on Kiel Bay as the freshening 20 to 30 kn breeze turned into a storm forcing the fleet to seek shelter ashore.
First in the Lasers Radial was Ellie Crumpsty GBR, but Monika Mikkola FIN defended her lead with a 4th race rank. Even better was Maud Jayet SUI finishing 3rd and taking back her 2nd position overall at equal points with Maité Carlier BEL on 3rd.
In the Lasers Standard, the race winners of their groups were Jonatan Vadnai HUN and Maxim Nikolaev RUS. Vadnai replaced herewith the leading Joel Rodriguez ESP at equal points on top. Nik Willim GER moved up on rank 3. Nils Theuninck SUI performed very well finishing 2nd in his group and advancing on rank 8 overall.
