OLYMPIC GAMES 2016 Rio de Janeiro BRA Day 8 the Swiss
The only Swiss team in action yesterday were Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI. As light-weights, they had difficulties in the steady 15 kn breeze on the offshore course and they dropped on rank 18. The Medal Race qualification in the three races today will therefore be difficult. Matias Bühler/Nathalie Brugger SUI will sail the most important race of their career today. As 5th in the Nacra 17, they will be in the middle of the fight for Medals today. The gap for Gold is 15 points, the Bronze Medal is 8 points away. We keep the fingers cross.
The 470s will conclude their qualifications for the Medal Race with three races today. Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser have to defend their 8th place with a reserve of 10 points on rank 11. Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI on the 12th place are only 4 points behind the Medal Race cut.
All ranking lists and the report of the Swiss Team.
