Before today's final races - one for every class - the Paralympic Champions are known in two of them: Daniel Fitzgibbon/Liesl Tesch AUS take Gold in the Skud 18s and Colin Harrison/ Russell Boaden/Jonathan Harris AUS in the Sonars. Fitzgibbon/Tesch AUS are the first team in the Paralympics to grasp Gold in two consecutive Games. The fight for Silver and Bronze remains exciting as John McRoberts/Jackie Gay CAN on rank 2 are only one point ahead of Alexandra Rickham/Niki Birrell GBR, and with a 4 points' backlog, Monika Gibes/Piotr Cichocki POL are also withing reach of the Medals. In the Sonars, Alphonsus Doerr USA and Paul Tingley CAN one point behind will duel for the remaining Medals, but Aleksander Wang-Hansen NOR 4 points back has still a chance for a Medal. Not yet decided is the winner in the 2.4m. Matt Bugg AUS dropped on rank 3 after a disqualification and with a 10 points' deficit, he will hardly reclaim rank 1.
