Bénéteau Figaro, Class 40 - Normandie Solo - Cherbourg FRA - Final results

Charlie Dalin FRA crossed the finish line of the Figaro 280-Mile-Solo-Regatta 'Normandie Solo' as winner yesterday with a 13 minutes' advantage on Nicolas Lunven FRA on rank 2. Sébastien Simon FRA folllowed as 3rd. The best-ranked woman Justine Mettraux SUI finished on the remarkable 9th place among the 24 solo skippers. After a first phase in moderate winds, a fresh breeze of up to 30 kn filled in with a peak in the middle of the night, making the race quite challenging. For 7 participants, the wind was too strong and they had to abandon the race with damaged boats.
