The Qualification Series for Gold- and Silverfleets at the Trofeo Princesa Sofia were concluded yesterday in typical Palma Bay seabreeze conditions (12-14 kn).
In the 470 men, Tetsuya Isozaki/Akira Takayanagi JPN have taken the lead ahead of Sozikhin/Gribanov RUS and MyNay/Hughes USA tied 2 points behind the leaders. Asian is the lead also in the 470 women with Mengxi Wei/Yani Xu CHN with Zegers/Van Veen NED and Mas-Deportes/Cantero ESP tied 3 points back.
In the 49ers, James Peters/Fynn Sterritt GBR reclaimed the first place in front of Botin/Lopez ESP and Lange/Lange ARG. Robert Scheidt/Gabriel Borges BRA on rank 19 made the Goldfleet cut. Victoria Jurczok/Anika Lorenz GER were dominating the 49ersFX with 3 race wins yesterday, extending their lead on 19 points. Lim/Low SIN and Naess/Rönningen NOR follow on the ranks 2 and 3.
Nicholas Heiner NED has taken the lead in the Finns ahead of Alican Kaynar TUR and Deniss Karpak EST. John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR defended their first position in the Nacras 17. As day's best, Fernando Echevarri/Tara Pacheco ESP advanced on the 2nd place. Lin Cenholt/Christian Lübeck DEN follow as 3rd.
No change in the RS:X windsurfers with Pawel Tarnowski POL one point ahead of Shahar Zubari ISR and 2 points on Iwan Pastor ESP in the RS:X men, and Marina Alabau ESP 2 points ahead of Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL in the RS:X women.
