Olympic Worldcup 2017 Semaine Olympique Hyeres FRA Start today, the Swiss
Light winds will probably prevail today on Hyères Bay for the first races of the second Olympic Classes Worldcup event of the year. 536 participants from 51 nations are on the entry lists, among them many Olympic medalists, but also - as always in a post-Olympic year - many new faces and new-composed teams.
Switzerland is represented by the Olympians Mateo Sanz-Lanz (RS:X windsurfer), Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler (470 women) and Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean (49er) (video interview) as well as the development athletes Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart (470 men), Maud Jayet and Andrea Nordquist (Laser Radial) and for the first time the new 49erFX team of Livia Näf/Nelia Puhze.
All races can be followed live via GPS tracking. The official preview.
