 Yardstick Longdistance Regatta Thunersee YC
The traditional long-distance race on Lake Thoune up and down the full lake was sailed on last Saturday. For once, the conditions were unusual, as the wind from the Alps blowing at the start in the early afternoon, did not turn 180° to the normal thermal wind, but even freshened during race to over 20 kn, allowing a fast downwind race from Interlaken back to Thoune.
The line honours went to René Schenk TYC with his Level 8.5, in calculated time, Walter Kratzer TYC is on top with his Starboot in the Yardstick classification <100. In the Yardstick classification >100, Fritz Burckhardt TYC with his Inland-30 is ranked first.
