Mini 650 - Mini-Transat - Las Palmas ESP - Leg 2 - Day 4

The Mini fleet is progressing well on its downwind ride in the trade winds. The fastest one was Simon Koster SUI covering 294 nm in 24 hours, only 10 nm below the Mini 650 class record. The leading boats will have rounded the most northern Cape Verdes island veering West to cross the Atlantic Ocean during this morning.
First in the Protos is still the favorite Ian Lipinski POL ahead of Simon Koster SUI new on rank 2 who reduced the backlog ton the leader to 20 nm with his speed race. Jörg Riechers GER on 3rd is already 55 nm back.
In the Series Minis, Tanguy Bouroullec FRA extended his lead on 23 nm. Erwan Le Draoulec FRA and Clarisse Crémer FRA hold their 2nd and 3rd position.
