Solo round the world record - François Gabart FRA - Day 11 - new 24h record for Gabart

François Gabart FRA accelerated even more yesterday on the South Atlantic and is already down on the Roaring Forties. Today, he will pass the Cape of Good Hope with a 608nm advantage - roughly one day - on the previous record. Covering 824nm in 24hrs yesterday, he has improved the solo 24h-record by 36nm, an average speed of 35kn (63km/h). Record also was the sleep time with 7h53min, the longest ever !
