Optimist, 420, 470, Laser - high season on the Mediterranean, the Swiss

Over the coming St-Nicolaus weekend, a number of youth class regattas take place on the Mediterranean Sea, and everywhere, Swiss sailors will participate.
On Mallorca, Optimists, Lasers and 420s sail the Trofeo Ciutat de Palma. The Optimists are the only international fleet with 277 participants from 12 nations among them the world-championship-experienced Maxime Thommen SUI. The event website.
The 420s and 470s will start at the traditional Winter Regatta of Imperia. A competitive fleet is on the 470 entry list with Fock/Dackammer SWE, Winkel/Cipra GER, Peponnet/Mion FRA in the Men and Zegers/Van Veen NED, Lefort/Granier FRA or Paternoster/Caruso ITA in the Women.
