'Vestas' (Charlie Enright USA) sailing on the 2nd position suffered a dismasting approximately 100nm southeast of the Falkland Islands in a 25-30kn northerly wind with three-meter waves. The entire crew is safe and uninjured. The crew is now motoring to the Falkland Islands where the team, in conjunction with the shore crew and the Volvo Ocean Race, will evaluate the necessary next steps to get the boat and crew to Itajaí BRA as soon as possible.
