Diam 24 - Grand Prix de l'Atlantique - Pornichet FRA - Final results - Victory for Bernard Stamm SUI, the Swiss

With three months to go to the start of the 2018 Tour de France, the activity of the Diam-24 Class has been increasing. Two weeks after the Spi Ouest Regatta, the GP Atlantique was organised in Pornichet FRA over the past weekend, the first of three events counting for the annual championship. After two light-wind days, a fresher 16-18kn breeze filled in on the final day, and 9 short-races as well as a coastal race were held.
Winning for heats, Bernard Stamm/Jean-Christophe Mourniac/Antoine Rucard SUI were the overall winners one point head of 'Oman Sail' with Stevie Morrison GBR. On rank 3 followed Valentin Bellet FRA. The two teams of the CER Genève showed a good performance with Victor Casas SUI and Nelson Mettraux SUI on the ranks 8 and 9 among the 26 teams. The all-female team of Sophie de Turckheim FRA with a.o. Nathalie Brugger SUI followed closely behind.
