Olympic Classes - World Championship 2018 - Aarhus DEN - Day 8 - Maud Jayet SUI secures the first Olympic berth

In the last two Final races of the Lasers Radial, Maud Jayet SUI was among the best with the ranks 4 and 7 and advanced on rank 7 overall qualifying for the Medal Race. With this excellent performance, she has secured one of the available 18 Olympic berths in Tokyo 2020 for Switzerland. Andrea Nordquist SUI finished her Championship on the 94th place.
Eliot Merceron SUI terminates the competition on rank 42 in the Lasers Standard. Nicolas Rolaz SUI and Arthur Baudet SUI follow on the ranks 136 and 155.
Making progress is the RS:X windsurfer Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI. With the day ranks 9/6/5, he advanced on rank 11 and has a chance to qualify for the Medal Race today and at the same time, secure an Olympic berth for Switzerland.
On a solid way to do the same are Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI on rank 4 overall, who should not miss the Medal Race after the two remaining races today. There remains even a chancde to grasp a Medal.
