Light winds prevailed yesterday after two windy days, slackening to an extent, that the Lasers Radial could not sail their races at the end of the afternoon.
In the 470 men, Keiju Okada/Jumpei Holazono JPN extended their lead on Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS to 13 points. On the ranks 3 to 5 follow more Japanese teams. In the 470 women, Benedetta Di Salle/Alessandra Dubbini ITA replaced Afrodite Zegers/Anneloes Van Veen at equal points on top.
James Peters/Fynn Sterritt GBR defended their first place in the 49ers by a small margin. The day's best Lukasz Przybytek/Pawel Kolodzinski POL joined the leaders pointswise on rank one. In the 49ersFX, the Olympic Champions Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA are now already 26 points ahead of the new second-ranked Charlotte Dobson/Saskia Tidey GBR.
In the Finns, Giles Scott GBR stays on top ahead of Nicholas Heiner NED new on rank 2. In the Nacra-17 catamarans, the winning streak of Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA came to an end, but the Italians still lead with a 5 points' advance on Jason Waterhouse/Lisa Darmanin AUS.
In the RS:X men windsurfers, Kiran Badloe NED still leads 7 points in front of Mattia Camboni ITA. In the RS:X women windsurfers, Peina Cehn CHN is now first ahead of Bryony Shaw GBR.
