News re World Sailing - Gerardo Seeliger ESP running for Presidency

Presidential elections at World Sailing taking place every four years will be held in November 2020 and Gerardo Seeliger ESP, an experienced Olympian, sailing official and business man, has decided to challenge the now President Kim Andersen DEN. The growing dissatisfaction with Governance of the International Sailing Federation, especially the selection of Olympic events and the financial mis-management, have lead Seeliger to stand for President of World Sailing in the 2020 elections. Finn-Olympian in 1972, still active in the Finn Masters scene, he intends to run the Federation bottom-up for the good of the sport according to the needs of clubs, classes and sailors.
