ACat World Championship 2019 Weymouth GBR Day 1, the Swiss
The winds on the 2012 Olympic waters of Weymouth GBR were very light and only one race could be completed. Surprising names are therefore on top of the Foilers that were never airborne. Tymoteusz Bendyk POL won the race ahead of Nils Palmieri SUI and Juan-Luis Paez ESP. The speed record holder Paul Larsen AUS (Sailrocket) followed as 5th, Robin Maeder SUI on 7th is the best-ranked Junior. The favorites however had a difficult day. Steve Brewin AUS finished 13th, Bruce Mahoney USA 36th and Mischa Heemskerk NED even was the backmarker on rank 60. ----- In the Classic rankings, Hugh McGregor GBR crossed the line as first ahead of Paul Todd ESP the Landenberger family on 3rd and 4th with son Andy having the upper hand on father Andrew. Bruno Biedermann SUI finished 7th. ----- The ranking lists, the event website and the event facebook page.
