Finishing 4th in the only race of yesterday, Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI advanced on the 25th place overall and third of 8 nations contending for an Olympic berth behind Korea (8th place) and Belarus (23rd). As 9th and not yet qualified nation, Russia, rank 54, is over 120 points behind. Mateo has a 51st as discard and this means that the Hispano-Swiss has mastered the last hurdle for an Olympic qualification and will participate in the 2020 Olympics for the second time. Congratulations! ----- As expected, the lightweight Sanz-Lanz SUI could not keep up in the fresh winds of Lake Garda. In light winds, however, the Swiss is one of the world's best windsurfers. ----- The results.
