420, 470 - Carnival Race - San Remo ITA - Day 1, the Swiss

The San Remo Carnival Regatta began yesterday with one, respectively two races. ----- In the 101 boat 420 boys fleet, Ilias and Markoulis Panagiotis GRE won both races of their group, overall leading ahead of the tied Simon Kaiser/Nik Burkhard SUI and Tom Rodet/Yael Maucut FRA. Good first day also for Ben Tresky/Yannick Kuster SUI on rank 5 and Maxim Dneprov/Luis Zimmerli SUI as 7th. ----- The 420 girls (53 teams) sailed one race with Zofia Korsak/Karolina Cendrowska POL as winners. Celestina Sabadin/Veronika Franic SLO and Michela Stefani/Jamila Cerdeira ITA are the first persuers. No Swiss among the participants. ----- Only 6 470s are present with the mixed team Boris Shvets/Annelina Koshova UKR as winners. ----- All ranking lists.
