IMOCA Open 60, VOR65 - The 2021/22 Ocean Race Route is announced, the Swiss

Last week, the organizers announced the route for the Ocean Race 2021/22. In addition to the VOR65 used the last time, the IMOCA Open 60 foilers will be part of the race for the first time. The Round-the- World Race with fully-crewed teams (formerly Whitbread Race and Volvo Ocean Race) follows the usual route. After the departure from Alicante ESP, the first stopover will be on the Cape Verde Islands. At the end of the race, two new destinations will be on the program: Aarhus and the Genoa as final port.
