Alex Thomson GBR seems to have passed the Doldrums, and already at good speed in the southern trade winds, he will pass the equator this morning UTC. Almost 10 days after the start, the fleet is more than one day behind the current record. ----- Alex Thomson GBR ('Hugo Boss', Foiler) is now leading 69nm ahead of Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut', Foiler). Jean Le Cam FRA ('Yes we Cam'!, Non-Foiler) was able to maintain her gap of 113nm. On the way up is Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia', Foiler), who is 4th only 5nm behind Le Cam. Samantha Davies GBR ('Initiatives Coeur', Foiler) follows in 8th place. ----- The race tracker and the report.
