The RS:X Windsurfing World Championship in Japan was concluded this morning with the Medal Races.
In the RS:men, the leading Bing Ye CHN controlled Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI one point behind right from the start and sailed the Swiss down on the last place, earning the Worlds title. Behind the Vice-Worldchampion Sanz-Lanz - the only non-Chinese Medal winner at this Championship - Mengfan Gao CHN won Bronze. Juan Bosco Barba MEX is 55th, Ignacio Berenguer MEX 69th and Gabriel Verrier-Paquette CAN 76th.
A triple Chinese victory occurred in the RS:X women with Peina Chen CHN Gold, Jiahui Wu CHN Silver and Yunxiu Lu CHN Bronze. Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL missed Bronze by one point. Farrah Hall USA is 42nd.
