The Laser 4.7 Youth World Championship in Kingston CAN began yesterday with three races for the Boys fleet (split in two groups) and two races for the Girls. -----With three bullets in his group, Roko Stipanovic CRO took the lead in the Boys, Derin Baytur TUR and Dmitry Golovkin RUS follow tied on the ranks 2 and 3. ----- The best North Americans by nation among the 118 participants are Erik Hou USA 23rd, Julian Van Den Driessche ISV 28th, Sebastian Medina PUR 38th and Andreas Steinitz CAN 59th. ----- Marilena Makri CYP is first in the Girls with two race wins. Sara Savelli ITA finished twice on 2nd. Anja Von Allmen SUI follows on 3rd. ----- Carling Davies CAN is 29th, Jennifer Mcqueeny PUR 40th and Sophia Debs USA 46th among the 60 entrants. ----- The ranking lists and the event website.
