470 - World Championship 2016 - Buenos Aires ARG - Day 3

Yesterday, the 470 fleets had again to wait until late in the afternoon due to lack of sufficient wind. A light breeze filled in finally and the men completed two, the women one race.
Surprisingly, Jim Asenathi/Roger Hudson RSA took the overall lead in the men's category with a race win, followed by Onan Barreiros/Juan Curbelo ESP at equal points. Anton Dahlberg/Fredrik Östling SWE are now 6 points behind on rank 3. On the way up are the defending champions Belcher/Ryan AUS, best of the day with the ranks 3 and 6, advancing on the 4th place overall.
The only race of the women went in favor of the defending champions Lara Vadlau/Jolanta Ogar AUT. New on top overall are Camille Lecointre/Hélène Defrance FRA. The Austrians and Afrodite Zegers-Kyranakou/Anne-Loes Van Veen NED at equal points are now 2nd and 3rd.
