Olympic Classes - Training Camp Trophy - El Arenal ESP - Day 1

Yesterday began the Training Camp Trophy regatta in Palma de Mallorca, organised as every year for the many teams preparing the European Olympic classes season with the Trofeo Princesa Sofia as the first important event end of March. All classes (without RS:X windsurfers and Finns) completed 3 races in a 20 kn wind. A matchrace took place in the Nacra 17, where Van der Velde/Nissen NED defeated the World Champions Besson/Riou FRA. First in the 470 men interim's rankings are Diesch/Autenrieth GER closely followed by Capurro/Puppo ITA and Brauchli/Hausser SUI. Amy Seabright/Anna Carpenter GBR on rank 1 in the 470 women have already a 6 points' lead on Caputo/Sinno ITA and Gallego/Reyes ESP on 2nd at equal points. Leaders in the 49ers are Seaton/McGovern IRL. Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI follow on rank 7. In the 49erFX, the leading duo Bekkering/Duetz NED and Hansen/Salskov DEN are already at some distance from the remaining fleet. The Laser leaders in the Lasers are Maria Vlachou GER (Radial) and Adonis Bouigouris GRE (Standard) did win all racres so far.
