After the failed record attempt of November, Francis Joyon FRA seems to have a better start this time and the meteo forecast looks favorable for a fast ride down the Atlantic Ocean. The Trimaran 'IDEC' passed this morning UTC the Canaries with speeds around 30 kn. With a deficit of only 91 nm, Joyon FRA and his team are roughly on target after two days.
