Trophée Jules Verne - Trimaran IDEC - Day 8

During the past 24 hours, the Maxi-Trimaran 'IDEC' has taken up speed again in the southern trade winds and covered 575 nm, a fair performance. With this, Francis Joyon FRA and his team reduced the backlog on the record to 108 nm, and a further improvement shoud be possible in the next 48 hours. The St-Helena anticyclone with its lulls is smaller as during the record ride of Loïck Peyron FRA, and 'IDEC' may opt for a more direct, shorter course to the Cape of Good Hope.
