Light and unstable winds prevailed on the third day of the Olympic Classes Worldcup in Miami, but nevertheless, the full program was competed by all classes.
Louis Giard FRA is the new leader in the RS:X men windsurfers 12 points ahead of the previous first Kiran Badloe NED. With another race win, Yiunxi LU CHN extended her lead in the RS:X women windsurfers on 14 points. Manija Zheng CHN and Isobel Hamilton GBR occupy the ranks 2 and 3.
In the Finns, the winner of both heats was Jorge Zarif BRA increasing the advantage on Ben Cornish GBR and Anders Pedersen NOR.
In the 49ers, Fletcher/Bithell GBR won 2 of the 3 races and are now already 26 points ahead of Sylvan/Anjemark SWE. Bildstein/Hussl AUT are 3rd. Progress also for Robert Scheidt BRA, who is now 15th. In a video interview, he speaks about his first 30 days in 49er skiff sailing and on his ambitions in this new class. In the 49ersFX, Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA extended their lead on 16 points ahead of the two Norwegian teams Naess/Rönningen NOR and Agerup/Agerup NOR at equal points on rank 2.
In the 470 men, the two experience team of Mantis/Kagialis GRE and McNay/Hughes USA occupy the first two places. In the 470 women Sophie Weguelin/Eilidh McIntyre GBR replaced the leading Zegers/Van Veen NED on top.
Leader change in the Nacra 17 as well with Tom Phipps/Nicola Boniface GBR now leading by a small margin ahead of Ben Saxton/Nicola Grove GBR and Nico Delle-Karth/Laura Schöfegger AUT.
