Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Day 1 - the Swiss

Inspite of moderate to light winds on the opening day of the Hyères Worldcup event, the Swiss were not among the top finishers. But the light-wind specialists showed at least solid results bringing them in the top-10 at the end of the day: Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI, day ranks 8 and 13, are on rank 6 overall in the 470 women, Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI had one top-10 result and is on the 10th position overall. With a premture start penalty on their result sheet, Sébastien Schneiter/Lucien Cujean SUI are only 29th for the moment. Nils Theuninck SUI could (not yet) confirm his excellent result of the Palma Regatta, but as 14th, he is not too far behind. Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI on rank 29 are the best Swiss in the 470 men, Livia Naef/Nelia Puhze SUI are on the remarkable 18th place in the 49ersFX among the 40 starters. Rank 34 for Eliott Merceron SUI in the Lasers Standard, and ranks 38 and 40 for Maud Jayet SUI und Andrea Nordquist SUI in the Lasers Radial are not quite up to their expectations.
