IMOCA Open 60, VO65 - The Ocean Race - Leg 7 - Day 12 - Victory for WindWhisper

Yesterday at noon, 'WindWhisper' with Pablo Arrarte ESP and his Polish team reached the finish line as winner of the VO65, their third leg win and thus also the overall victory of the VO65. The rest of the fleet is expected to arrive in Genoa at midday today, hard-fighting for the other podium places: 'Viva Mexico' and 'Team Jajo' are only one mile apart, with 'Miripuri' also remaining in the race for second place, 8 miles behind. ----- The IMOCAs are also making slow progress in the calm Mediterranean, with the race remaining completely open 60 miles from the finish: 'Holcim-PRB' (Benjamin Schwartz FRA) leads 'Biotherm' (Paul Meilhat FRA) by one mile, 'Malizia' (Boris Herrmann GER) follows 7 miles behind. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
