With the Medal Races of the Nacra 17 and the 470, the first competitions came to an end yesterday. ----- Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA won again in the Nacra 17 and defended their World Championship title with a 26-point lead. John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR took silver, Emil Jarudd/Hanna Jonsson SWE were 3rd. ----- In the Mixed 470, Keiju Okada/Miho Yoshioka JPN were already the winners before the Medal Race. 36 points behind Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP are 2nd, bronze went to Tetsuya Isozaki/Yurie Seki JPN. Lara Vadlau/Lukas Maehr AUT missed the podium by only 3 points. ----- Today the Medal Races of the 49er and 49erFX are scheduled. In the 49er Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED are already the overall winners. Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP and 3 points behind Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI will fight for the silver medal. ----- In the 49erFX, Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE showed an outstanding series and are already the new World Champions with a lead of 36 points. Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED moved up to 2nd, 4 points behind Olivia Price/Evie Haseldine AUS 3rd. In 12th place, two-time Olympic gold medallists Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA surprisingly missed out on the Medal Race. ----- The ILCAs finish their final races today with 2 more races. Michael Beckett GBR continues to lead in ILCA 7 with now 11 points ahead of Matthew Wearn AUS, George Gautrey NZL has moved up to rank 3. ----- In the ILCA 6, Emma Plaesschart BEL has taken the lead one point ahead of Maria Erdi HUN. Maud Jayet SUI in 3rd place 7 points behind remains in the title race. ----- In the iQ-Foil windsurfers, Nicolo Renna ITA leads 11 points ahead of Sebastian Kördel GER. Elia Colombo SUI dropped back to 21st place after a false start and a disqualification. ----- Emma Wilson GBR is also 11 points ahead of Shahar Tibi ISR in the women's race. ----- In the men's Formula Kite, Toni Vodisek SLO is still one point ahead of Max Maeder SGP, with Riccardo Pianosi ITA now in third place. Bruce Kessler SUI has dropped back to 29th place. ----- In the women's race, Lauriane Nolot FRA is now 6 points ahead of Eleanor Aldridge GBR. Lily Young GBR is already 31 points behind in 3rd place.
