Moderate conditions prevailed yesterday off the Keys after the stormy Tuesday, and all classes terminated four races. 'Bella Mente' of Hap Fauth USA is the new leader in the 72-foot Maxis. In the J/70s, Carlo Alberini ITA (tactics Branko Brcin SLO) and his team defended the first place, but Julio Fernandez Nickelmann MEX (with Bill Hardesty USA) at 3 points is not far behind. Richard Thompson GBR (with Jamie Lea GBR) took the lead in the Melges 24 closely followed by John Brown USA. Richard Reid CAN (with Chris Rast SUI) follows on 3rd.
