The updated Olympic Classes World Sailing Ranking Lists have just been published. A new calculation system is in force, including the last two World Champions with full ranking points. The top positions changed only in two classes: the 49er high-fliers Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL - with a reduced activity due to their engagement in the Team NZL America's Cup challenge - are now finally on the well deserved rank 1. A jump from rank 11 on rank 1 was the consequence for Aichen Wang CHN in the RS:X men windsurfers.
The good results in Florida in the past weeks helped Matias Bühler/Nathalie Brugger SUI to climb from the 17th place on the 6th rank in the Nacra 17. An improvement also for Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI new on rank 12 in the 470 women, their best ranking so far. Mateo Sanz-Lanz SUI not present in Miami descended from rank 4 to rank 11 in the RS:X men windsurfers.
