470 - European Championship 2016 - Palma de Mallorca ESP - Day 1 - the Swiss

Linda Fahrni/Maja Siegenthaler SUI finished the first race day winning the 2nd heat in their 470 women Group. Unfortunately, they missed a big wind shift in race 1 finishing only 29th. As 21st overall, they are still on a good way to the Goldfleet after the three races of today.
The Swiss male Olympia Team Yannick Brauchli/Romuald Hausser SUI had a good first day as well with the day ranks 3, 10 and a discarded 23rd in their Group, i.e. 13th overall, and are cleary on the way to the Goldfleet (top 35). With the ranks 9 and 16 and a 30th interim's position, Kilian Wagen/Grégoire Siegwart SUI are also ranked in the first half of the fleet. David Biedermann/Max Haenssler SUI on rank 44 are only 4 points behind the Goldfleet cut.
