The leading group stretched over a longer distance is sailing in freshening trade winds close to the African Coast. Tanguy Le Turquais/Hervé Aubry FRA, the only ones sailing on a more westerly course on the Canary Island latitude, are leading overall with a 9 miles' advantage on Thierry Chabagny/Erwan Tabarly FRA.
