After two windy days (15-18 kn), the third race yesterday was sailed in a lighter 8-10 kn breeze. The local hero Augie Diaz USA (with Bruno Prada BRA) opted for the preferred side of the usual very long course and finished first, extending his lead on Diego Negri/Sergio Lambertenghi ITA to 6 points. The 3rd-ranked Andy McDonald/Brad Nichol USA are already 16 points behind. Jean-Pascal Chatagny/Serge Pulfer SUI improved their result progressing on rank 16 overall. Today is lay day in Miami.
