Finn - Gold Cup/World Championship 2016 - Gaeta ITA - Day 1, without Swiss

The World Championship 2016 of the Olympic Finn Class began yesterday in Gaeta (south of Rome) in light winds and summery temperatures. Two races were completed in a 6-8 kn breeze.
The top-favorite Giles Scott GBR was not yet up to speed with the ranks 38 and 5, while Deniss Karpak EST shined as men of the day with the positions 1 and 3. His advantage on the second-ranked Giorgio Poggi ITA is already 14 points. Pieter-Jan Postma NED follows on rank 3, Fabien Pic FRA is 4th. No Swiss on the entry list.
