Yesterday, the 4th and 5th ranked per Group did meet for sail-offs to determine the participants for the Round-of-16 with the Quarterfinals that started shortly after. Eric Monnin SUI was eliminted by Sam Gimour AUS and was forced to leave the competition early. Joachim Aschenbrenner DEN, Hans Wallen SWE and Mans Holmberg SWE were defeated as well.
The results of the Quarterfinals sailed so far are: Taylor Canfield vs Sam Gimour AUS 2-0, Yann Guichard FRA vs Michael Hestbaek DEN 2-0, Ian Williams GBR vs Evan Walker AUS 2-1, Johnie Berntsson SWE vs Sally Barkow USA (with Elodie-Jane Mettraux SUI) 2-1.
